queensland first session of yr! port of brisbane

so me and a couple of mates decided to go for a first sesh for 2011. we decided to fish port at beacons for mackeral. the day was beatiful but the water was still abit dirty. we eneded up with 6 mackeral with 5 being legal. all up was a good day out.

Gotta be happy with 5 mackeral in these conditions so close to the mouth. Looks like you were using pillies on ganged hooks. Did you try any hard bodies?

fish was caught at beacons just outside the mouth abit. it was running out tide when we got them. we used pillies and slugs. all 5 mackeral were caught on 30g halco twisty.
