20 kg king thready in news!!!!

did anyone see channel nine news??? apparently there were pics of a 20 kg salmon caught near karalee!!!

did anyone tape it or have more info???

I saw the report, showed a man with a 20kg king salmon caught up past ipswich. Looked like a monster fish!!!

Not many specific details given, but was definately an amazing fish.

I cannot imagine a 20kg Threadfin. I think they may have over exagurated on that one . The largest I have caught is a 10.48kg Thready and that was 124cm to the fork. They are by no means a heavy weight fish like everyone makes them out to be.

A 20kg Salmon would be pushing the 170-180cm range. I would like to see pictures of that fish .

It didnt look all that much longer than some of the threadies I have seen caught, but it was definately the fattest. Whether it was 20kg or not, Im not sure, but it was a massive fish either way. More specific details would have been good too

Troy this thread got me curious. So i did a little searching and found that Threadies (King Threadfin Salmon) max out at 30kg

That i would like to see.
