Mate of mine has the Veratis and he swears by it, I had a flick with it, casting Megabass DogX jnrs and it was a blast, very nice action to the rod. I don't know much about the other rod.

I can only comment on the Asaros and they are an awesome Rod i have a 1-3 and a 2-4.They are top rods for the price you pay.

I got hold of a 7ft 2-4Kg Asaro a while back for throwing Jackalls from the edge of the dam. The rod loads up beautifully and casts a mile. I had a few Trions which really impressed me, which is why I opted for another Pflueger.

veritas especially the purple one is sexy... got some grunt too, but also for a few more bucks can pick up nordic stage rods or even a tcurve breamaster. super light, super strong. picking up my tcurve next week.. cant wait.

veritas has a nice balance with a 1000 size reel

have tried both rods. would go for asaro. it has fuji components, where the varitas doesnt. imo asaro is a much better buy but dont get me wrong, the varitas are pretty awsome too. the asaro is a bargain at that price

Amart virginia had the assaro[that i was going to settle for with my new 9525 patriach] for $75 2 weeks ago and had good stocks in different sizes but i picked up a pfluger supreme 1-3 kg 6'6" for my yak reduced down to $99 which is great buying ,i got it from strathpine amart but i know they dont have anymore of them they do have the baitcaster version but ring around you might crack it for one . :woohoo: :woohoo: matt
