first time up the river

hi guys ive never been up to kookaburra etc before and was wondering where you put the boats in and how much water depth is there as my old bugger seems to atract rocks and costs me a mint in props any tips on which way to go etc will be followed to the t as i have no idea up there

could also put this in the apprpriate spot as i missed by a mile

Faulked ; When are you going up. Might tag along and show ya a few spots. Ramp at Kooka is prety good water depth near ramp. Ramp is a bit dodgy on dead low tide thou.Any how send me a PM when you know when you are going.

As lozzel says ramp is a bit iffy at low tide. There is about 5 ft of water there but ramp drops off to a steep incline. It is ok to launch from but if your boat is heavy you may have trouble leaving at dead low.

I just usually anchor up in edge of channel opposite the downstream pontoon just past the golf club. There are probably heaps of other spots but we seem to do ok there so have never explored.
