Boat Rod Holders on Special

Whitworths currently have the cheaper adjustable rod holders on sale for $11.95 (Until mid July)

Yep Bias boating have had them for the past 2 months at that price. They arent as good as the Berkley's or Scotty's but hey for less than half the price u cant go wrong

Feral 1 question = where would be the best place to mount them on an alluminium tinnie with no rails?

an aluminium tinnie with no rails.....sounds like you might be keeping them in the packet for a while or going to see someone who can attach rails....that is a tricky one. I don't think you would buy them if you didn't have rails you would just get some normaal plastic rod holders and attach them to your seat or something along those lines. Feral will probably prove me wrong...I hope

My Tinnie has no rails, I'll be drilling through the sides to mount them. Just use the 4 screw holes in the base as a template, stainless bolts, no problems. Probably put them next to the rowlocks.

remember to use an anti corrosive joining compound like Duralac. It inhibits electrolytic corrosion between dissimilar metals:huh:

I had 2 of the expensive ones, came with the boat when I brought it . My robd buts were too big for them . I think they found the wheelie bin awile ago. not sure will have to check.Now that I have lighter rods.

i had a couple of scottys on my tinny and the worked fine i just mounted then to my rails and they were all good to use
