different brand jigheads

A quick qns about the jigheads,

Do the different branded jigheads (eg TT lures, round squigy ones, triangular nitro ones, nitro breampro) have any difference in terms of their function? or is it just personal preference.?

gauges of hooks as well are a big factor.....

They all serve the same purpose, just different hook quality. I've heard the squidgy ones are fairly weak in the hooks and bend easily. I like the TT hws and for regular jigheads I go the berkely ones that big w stock as these are good value, these two brands have not let me down and I believe they are both built on owners which are a good hook. Not sure what hooks squidgy are built on.

+ 1 for the TT hidden weight system. I have always enjoyed using them and as the weight is concealed inside the plastic i think it gives a much better presentation.

Footnote.... Presentation does not necessarily equal fish!

I make sure I get either Gamakatsu or Mustad BLN hooks.

squiggly ones have been shocking for me as they always straighten when I'm using it.

I mainly use the berkely ones from big W, as said before great value and decent quality.

yeah I just avoid squidgies in the lighter stuff. They'll bend at the sneeze of a fish.

The others just come down to preference. Different heads give different action.

Only exception are the squidgy resin heads, those hooks are alot better than there other crap.
