Hey all

Hit Brisbane River today for some bass fishing, but ended up trying for some sharks instead. Easily found bait, and it wasnt long before the baits were getting smashed. Hooked up 3 times in about a 2 hour time slot, and managed to land the one, which is a new PB of around 1.1-1.2m Put up a sweet fight and was pretty stoked to land him.

thats an awesome size shark. i think that would have smashed my rig against my 80cm bully. up-sized fun right there. it makes all the waiting worth it i reckon. good post mate, have a merry xmas

Did you keep it to eat ?? if so what do you do to prepare it ?i have heard you have to cut the tail off ?

Nah I released him, not sure how to fillet and cook them, however apparently they go alright. Will have to try one.
