Are prawn stars soft plastics?

I was feeling a bit down after reading that Feral had a stripper at his birthday lunch and I wasnt invited. I thought that my luck had changed when I told him I was going to Aarons place at runcorn to pick up shrimp. He said could I drop into A Mart at underwood and pick up some pornstars as they are only 5 for 10 bucks. I am down again as I found out that they are these funny looking thingmagiggs with hangy bits and serious looking trebles hanging out of them.

Got 5 for him and 5 for me. Wasnt able to get the same for each or us so I will be more down if one of the odd ones I give him catches fish and mine wont.

Do they really catch fish or are they only another infernal device to catch snags?

Ray they are awesome, the line goes through the middle and u make the tail flick, have only used them a couple of times as they were expensive and have caught some big flathead on them in Tinny creek, gonna give em a go this saturday may even try them at the reefs on Sunday. The big ones look like they could be good for Barra

Well Done Ray!! got yaself a good score there mate and if u fish them right u will out fish SP's and hardbodies..

The purple shrimp and the glow in the dark ones are real hot, try to fish them with one or no weight for best action.

A bit of advice for you Ray, as soon as the lure hits the water make sure your bail arm is engaged and be ready for the strike!!

I have lost so many to instant bite offs as soon as its hit the water!!!:pinch:

I have also chucked one out and left the bail arm open waiting and waiting for it to hit the bottom only to find \"hey somethings not right here\" as line kept spewing from the reel. Clicked the reel into drive and \"hey theres a fish on\".

A. No...There made from plastic, Yes but a harder type so they fall between a hardbody and a SP...

Just went and picked up 5 prawnstars from Amart Underwood.......excellent value for $10.

There's only about 15 left.....so don't delay!

For some reason I don't use them much, even tho the 1st and only time I used them I got a nice cod from about 10 casts...

Forgot to mention theres a small hole right at the tip of its nose this is where u can feed a length of line to resemble the 2 antenni on a natural prawn..but what I found that is, is when the prawnstar is rigged up using the above mentioned theory it looks like the prawn has 3 antenni so now to make the lure even more natural I just tie the length of line onto it as 1 so when the leader is tied on it now has the 2 antenni as natural prawns would have....

There was mainly the large yellow and green ones.

Only colours were yellow dull fluro, green and purple/

I went to Amart Redbank and they wanted $10.50 each...... I asked about a special and they said no go...

Amart's tend to run permanent specials on different things at each store. Wont honour specials from their other stores!

I went into Amart Underwood yesterday and picked up 5 Prawn stars. Friend and brother also got 5 each. From what I saw, there were about 10-15 left after we picked ours. Also picked up 3 G-vibes for $10. And 25m of 4lb flurocarbon for $7. Great value and it is the same thickness as the Yamatoyo stuff which is $18 for 50m.

But Mick, I rang up another Amart store before going to Underwood, and the guy said that if I went to that store, he would ring up the Underwood store and when he confirmed the special, he would give them to me at the same price.
