Headed out this morning with whiting on my mind, got stuck into them and very good size, best went 30cm! Biggest winter whiting I've seen or caught, plenty around 25-27cm!

Nice size ones too, we got heaps 25-30cms all at the south east corner of mud a week or two ago Rosco. got 60 easy in an hour or two.

I don't normally catch whiting but while chasing bream and flatties in Coombabah Creek last Saturday I landed a 36cm+ model. I didn't really think anything of it at the time but after seeing your topic and reading your report, seems like I got myself a thumper.

I got it on a 3" Damiki Armor Shad in Skin Blue rigged in a 1/24 jighead. It was also in a deeper stretch of water if any is interested.

You prob caught a summer whiting at that size, it's still a good fish, but more common at 36cm for a summer whiting, best tasting fish out there I reckon
