queensland Bass in enoggera creek

I'm currently working at the gap and just checked out enoggera creek to see what it looked like. Looks very fishy! Has anyone caught bass in there? Will give it a go anyway once I ask for an extended lunch break

Plenty of tilapia and carp in there. Ive also heard that there is a healthy population of lungfish. There would be bass, not sure how many though.

not sure if they can get back up the weir at kelvin grove. It does look bassy though. I have caught Tillapia and gold fish in there.

Fair point ted. Well if its been stocked there are some good holes I will wet a line in next week! Undercut banks, submerged logs and lots of boulders mmmm

I used to fish it as a boy when I lived in the Gap many years ago and caught a few.

In a big enough flood, bass can negotiate the weir at Kelvin Grove.

When the creek flooded, my mates & I had more fun running the creek with our whitewater yaks!!

few months ago I was walking over one of the bridges and could see firstly a turtle/tortoise whatever swimming at one end and ell tail catfish at the other end setting up its circular nest of stones. Was fantastic to see.
