queensland Beau's Day Out- Baroon

After months of bad luck and convalescing Beau was ready for a boat trip on calm waters, so we decided to go to Baroon dam. Well we missed out on the calm waters and the fish were not biting their heads off.

We managed a few on bait to start with then went on the troll to find a spot to do some casting picking up a few along the way. We never did find that spot but still managed enough bass and a monster cattie to keep us amused.

Ray if you are thinking of taking your car up forget it,you would bottom out on the drop from one ramp to the other ramp. Plus its a long way to the top, you need to get someone else to take their car or 4x4. Dam looks terrible and the water levels in some places are way way down.

Best fish for the day, thanks for a top day out mate really needed it. Looking forward to doing it more often now I'm getting back on my feet, speaking of which are a bit sunburt !

Not only did he get the biggest fish but he got the most fish as well beat me by a couple, I must be losing my touch.

Forgot to mention they closed the dam because of the algae, well its still there its like green water with a white flek through it.. I have seen it worse up there, that thick you could stand a spoon up in it.
