end of round 11  Sunday results

Knights 20  vs  30 Panthers

Another Panther 2 halves story. Knights 14 – 0  half time lead, the Knights bumbled their 2nd half and the Warriors last start. It`s impossible to tell if the Panthers are actually going forward, as all 3 teams are 4 or 8 points on the ladder.

Bulldogs 18  vs  24 Roosters

Roosters half time 20 – 6. Dogs couldn`t do it in the 2nd half and the Roosters only just did it in the 2nd half, not sure what the final result say of either team going into origin period.

Storm  14  v   6  Bunnies

The only real surprise is the margin.

looks to be an easy round to pick, is it fraught with danger?

Round 12

Friday, May 26

Rabbitohs vs. Eels    ANZ Stadium 7:50pm   NINE

Saturday

Warriors vs. Broncos      Mt Smart Stadium  5:30pm    FOX

Sharks vs. Bulldogs         Southern Cross Group Stadium   7:30pm  FOX

Sunday

usually each year at SOO time, the ever faithful start getting excited about the Warriors chances of finishing high up in the top 8 when the Warriors start winning a few games on the trot against depleted teams.

Anyone got excited enough to back them this weekend? again!

The Broncos have been quietly building over the last 2 months, some of their wins have not been pretty but their showing they can consistently win even with a few main players missing at times. Bennett must be feeling a little confident that their going to peak at the right time this season.

A couple of wins in the SOO period will be icing on the cake for them.

Friday results

Rabbitohs 16  v  22 Eels

Can not take anything away from the Eels win, extremely tired Eel`s defence in the last 5 minutes made the Bunnies final score line look far, far better than they were.

Saturday results

Warriors  28  v  10  Broncos

The Warriors began their annual crack for the GF  …..   with just over 50% completed sets, some younger Broncos forwards forgot they were supposed to take their A game and Benji not playing for the Redcliffe Dolphins this weekend was the tale of woe for the Broncos.

Sharks 9  v  8 Dogs

The Sharks wanted the win more than the Dogs!

end of round 12  Sunday results

Raiders 24  v  16  Roosters

Playing a Roosters team decimated by key players missing  for origin, the Raiders should have slaughtered, processed, boxed and frozen the chickens easily, instead they only strangled them in the 79.5 minute

Once again the ref was trying his best to help out 7 penalties in a row to the chooks.

Friday results

Storm  40  v  Knights 12  :)

Score line says it all, if the Knights didn`t play with some heart it could have been 60+

Eels  32  v  Warriors 24  :)

An early lead set up the win for thee Eels, who finished with one player left on the bench. It also helped that the Warriors bombed 3 certain tries, but it was their best 80 minutes of footy this season. Scoreline of 26-24 at the 78th minute and the Eels got a converted try to seal the game.

Saturday results

Dragons 16  v  Tigers 12  :)

Tigers were in this game but beat themselves with too many errors.

Roosters  18  v  Broncos 16

The game was there for the Broncos, but….  Benji`s better days were looong ago :P

Cowboys  20  v  Titans  8  :)

Jarryd Hayne activated his, in his favour 1 year extension contract with the Titans Wednesday pm, looked like he`s settled back into his `just not into it today` game  mode, again.

end of round 13 Sunday results

Sea Eagles 21  v  Raiders  20

I hate golden point, always have, always will. Raiders lost 2 of their big boppers early in the 1st half.

Bulldogs 0  v  Panthers  38

The Dogs made Penrith look like a team of super heroes. Doggy fans must be looking forward to next season and the new revamped roster to come with it!

I thought the ref done his best to get the sharks over the line.I cant work out why refs give penalties when players are blatantly milking, it spoils the game, they should be penalized. They do this drop to the ground when no one is touching them and get a penalty. I notice billy hasnt been doing his usual milking lately.

It was a pretty entertaining game but I can't remember a game with so much holding down in the ruck. Melbourne is always guilty of it but the sharks definitely took that title last night, as well as some classic Gallen flops. Refs only seemed to see one side as guilty most of the game though.

It typical Conulla ways the interview after the game on Fox sports they were blaming Melbourne for wrestling and Referee Smith for controlling the game.... Melbourne press conference was interesting on Cronk and Slater as well.

Friday results

Sea Eagles 18  v 14  Knights

Manly got gifted the 2 points for this round with the help of an awarded try from a  dropped ball. Knights keep on having a real dig each game.

Broncos  24  v 18  Rabbitohs

for me, this was Souths best team performance of the year so far. Broncos dropped off the pace a few times but I do not think the result was ever in doubt

Saturday results

Titans 12  v  34 Warriors

Last week and this week, Ash Taylor looks like he starting to suffer young fella ‘too much team weight’ burnout syndrome. Congrats Ryan Hoffman  300  NRL games.

Panthers  24 v 22  Raiders   :)

In the last 1 and a half minute of the game Panthers (trailing 18 – 22) put in 2 trys and a conversion to beat the Raiders.

The Raiders had the better stats for: possession, penalties, errors, and completion rates.

Eels 6  v  32 Cowboys   :)

What to say?. ....  JT looks in good form for SOO game 2. :ausflag:

Sunday results

Tigers  18  v  40  Roosters  :)

There was little doubt that the Roosters were going to do the Tigers, but credit has to go to the Tigers for hanging in there and to Cleary for getting the Tiger players heads back into putting in for the full 80 minutes.

Dogs were more determined to get a win, so was the ref for them to start with. Then it evened out for awhile, the dragons couldnt get out of first gear and the dogs finished it off.Once again penalties were awarded for milking, getting sick of it, refs must be blind. Players flop on the ground without a hand on them and refs award a penalty, is it a penalty for the best milker.

^^ Totally agree, @Dinodadog. The way the ruck is refereed is so inconsistent and the constant penalties drive me nuts. The only way to clean up the ruck is to enforce correct play the ball. Defenders won't need to wrestle and interfere in the ruck if they know the tackled player won't get away with throwing the ball behind him when his only just off the ground. End of rant (for now anyway).

Agree totally. The play the ball is a total joke now and not consistently penalised. Take Origin 1 for example the whole first half from both teams players barely put there foot on the ball in the play the ball. Then you take tries like Manly V Newcastle on the weekend which is a blatant knock on and touchy could see well yet it is ruled a try and not referred to the bunker which is why it is there...... There is too many inconsistencies in the game now. To be honest I have stopped following it as much the last 2-3 years because of it. I love NRL and always have but the game is becoming less appealing to watch with the amount of inconsistent rulings and judges on things.

Titans by 4, Cowboys by 2, Sharks by 14, Dragons by 4. Last night footy show had QLD at $2.36 to win game two almost worth putting $10 on that. Although the record for QLD in game two in Sydney at this ground is one win in 1987. I believe thats what they said according to stats last night however I may have had a few :407_beer:
