tinny rebirth

heres a tinny myself and a couple of mates rebirthed ...it was a real mess..

we strenghtened up the transom and bow with checker plate and put a new rib up the front..took out the front seat and put in a casting deck with storage hatches...new flooring..new 2 pack paint all round..new carpet.. new side pocket..alls good..its powered by an old evinrude 15 hp moter that still goes like the clappers....

i not long ago put a forward deck in my tinny. i put some rod holders in it for rod storage during transit and just to keep unused rods out of the way while fishing. they are very handy.

Great job maxi i have just started 5m tinne rebuild stripping the paint now what stripper did you use also how did your paint work looks great i have to get quotes

A good looking boat there guys ,the panel work looks sturdy all you need is a AFO sticker promonently displayed to set it off bon voyage

its not my boat its a mates..

it was one of those mates rates jobs !!! ;)

hey reelchippy any good stripper will do the job on most paints... have fun..and wear gloves..it can burn.. dont work a huge area with it..let it work on the surface so it all bubbles up..and apply it about 2 mm thick with a paintbrush....

i usually work about 1/2 sq mt at a time..

its also good if you get all the paint off that area ...and i mean all..then wash it down and make sure its all gone then do next section...if it dries out its a bastard to get off..
