queensland Story Bridge Fishing

Heading to the story bridge to wet the line on Saturday night and wondering what tides the best to fish that area? Is there any other spots around the area to try? I was also gonna try breaky creek mouth as well.

In my opinion, it's a great spot. Read the original Nice Session in The Brisbane River This Morning. As it says in the report, live bits caught in the cast net are good, and the fish bit on the low tide (dead low) but I've seen people on Youtube do it on high tide, so I don't think it is very tide dependent, more early morning, late afternoon or night.

Is the breaky creek mouth good to fish aswell? Specially with all the road works and that happening on Kingsford Smith?

If you read some old reports, I have heard lots of good stuff coming from there. Jewfish, threadfin, bream, flathead, cod, whiting, sharks and rays. I haven't fished there myself but I'd assume prawns/worms for bream, whiting, flathead and livies for jew, sharks, rays and big flatties.

yeah I did. Not much around tho. Got there about half hour before low tide. Mate caught 3 cats and I snagged a threadie in the cast net. Was 35cm. Did not expect that haha. Will try again in a few weeks after this rains cleared out a bit

People regularly get decent fish there, just live bait and persistence help you find the quality ones

I often go for a walk along the river from Southbank to Dockside and see quite a few people fishing there. Have seen some excellent fish being caught. Mostly threadies and some cracker bream. Mostly bait fishing.
