Yes took Bruce the neighbour fishing this morning,its his third time this year, last year he only managed one trip, with all my ailments.Anyway we had a nice morning with 26 bass landed before we ran out of shrimp. Its the worst I have seen the shrimp supply in the 20 years fishing out at NPD.

Do you have a theory as to why the shrimp numbers are down ?

We go through the ups and downs of supply with the shrimp each year, this month good next bad, this month they are all small, next month all large, but for some reason at the moment supply is really bad, I run into people on the water all with the same story,I only got one shrimp from my 4 pots. Oh no havnt found a theory yet.

It's weird about the shrimp. In the Brisbane River, they seem to be on all year. Maybe it's something to do with the amount of fish in a certain season (i.e. something reproducing in there, like a forky, if they can, lowering the shrimp numbers?)

Sorry for late reply, lures are hard at the moment, trolling bad, casting to edges bad and jigging is slow. This time of year they should be on fire.

Sometime they are large, sometimes small, but at the moment its hard to get any at all
