Pretty much exactly what I do now. Life jacket on when fishing alone, and kill switch lanyard attached to my wrist when solo as well. Easy to forget the lanyard bit, so I would hope there would be a reasonable “education” period. 

I have been overboard once when fishing solo. Luckily the motor was in neutral at the time, and I am a strong swimmer so able to swim with the current to catch the boat. This was some years ago before I started wearing the jacket solo. Next problem was trying to drag myself into the boat after a bit of a swim and wearing all my winter clothes. I now have a step and a ladder on the back of the boat just in case.

some will say that this is just nanny state stuff. At your funeral, they might be able to say you died doing something you loved, but pretty sure the rescue crews and your family will not love the associated trauma. Stay safe, people.

Can you tell your flat mate that the survey is not working properly on iPhone or iPad?? Some of the radio buttons are not within the screen. Tried it portrait and landscape.

Clearly... In both cases... I thought old mate made a very valid and meaningful point. He also showed that he acts on his best intentions getting to where they need to get.
