queensland mystery lure catch from the pontoon

Hey team, 

Now don't laugh but I am excited by this catch! 1st hook up ever on soft plastics and 2nd ever lure caught fish from the pontoon, and what a lovely day.

But what is it?

River perch, they grow to about 35cm    

Lots of people confuse them with jew....different mouth shape, no black dot at the base of the pectoral fin and no silver dots on the flanks.

Nice work, looks like one of the river perch species. I've come to realize recently there's a couple different ones that all look similar but still aren't real jewfish. The biggest I've caught them is about 35CM.

lol, I was about to say it looks like a baby jew but its jaw shape looks different.
