Weed or Algae

Can anyone tell me what it is in Maroon? It's very small bits of green something and it's thick around the edges and spread out all through the dam thicker in some places where I guess the wind takes it.

There are huge "weed forests" (I'd guess you'd call them, similar to the giant Kelp Forests in the salt, not as big though) throughout the dam. They are probably a bit deep down now, but when it was only 15%, they would cover the surface of the water. Was so thick that birds were standing and walking on them:dry:

So I'd say that it would be that weed.

I’m pretty sure its blue-green algae. At least that’s what I was told, cause a few years ago when I was on school camps there they wouldn’t let us put our heads under the water cause it was blue-green algae blooms.

It doesn't sound like its convetional 'weed' cowfish.

Sometime the algae gets that thick at Baroon it looks like vegie soup
