paternoster help!

Hey guys,

will got to setup my gear tonight for the charter one massive drama i cant tie a paternoster! do you use those 3 way swivels and cheat or is it something really easy to tie?

googe search dropper loop knot.

its a pretty easy rig to tie once you get the hang of it.

alternativly, there is a a product out there that basically is a swivel with another swivel around it if you get what i mean. could be worth a look

I reckon go with the swivel and uni knots. I've had bad experiences trialing new rigs and losing good fish due to not having perfected them yet.

I have one of Geoff Wilson's little books on knots...quite good. $6.99 from memory (from my amart days)

The ones that i tied up today are pretty easy. They use a matchstick to help twist the line as part of the process.

If in doubt, cheat...go the 3 way swivels.

i have the same book somewhere, will by some new leader and the swivels. if i cant pull it off will use swivels. NO LAUGHING WHEN I TURN UP WITH SWIVELS IN MY RIG! lol

Kriso if your using braid, I'd use the three way swivels. Dropper knots chew up to much leader. Get broken off, and its pretty much tie on a new leader.

No idea, depends on what your fishing for, and how big they are.

5/0 should be a good size

Kriso, Cheat and use a Double figure of 8 on the bite. Wont slip or break and very easy to tie.
