Ok Ok....

It was swimming around at the boat ramp right up in the shallows. Seemed to be swimming a bit funny so I crept up on it and gloved it. Slipped out of my hand but didn't swim away. I had another go and managed to grab a hold. Must have been sick, Dad reckons it would have had a parasite or disease or something so I kept it out of the water in case it infected other fish. Was pretty amazing seeing a fish like that just swimming around and let you come up and grab it. :dry:

Nah, I thought about it but it must have been sick so I didn't want to ingest whatever was wrong with it. Maybe I should have let it go but I made a call at the time and I figured it was obviously dying anyway so I might as well remove it from the ecosystem just in case. Bit of a shame such a nice fish wasn't caught on a popper.

Nah, didn't want to put any part of it back in the water in case it had some disease.

No it looked fine which made me think it must have had a parasite or something internal. It was definitely sick, a fish like that doesn't let you just wade up and grab it and not swim away.
