queensland Whats all this fresh going to do to catches

Just wondering what the rest of you guys think is going to happen for fishing in the next few weeks in the river with all this fresh rain.??

Probably will be pretty bad for a couple of days but once the debris clears up the fishing should improve heaps.

Rains ok, it often puts a bit of food in the system for smaller things further down the food chain.

The sea relys on these kind of inputs so it might boost the fishing a bit.

Might set some pots 48hrs after the rain stops, Wrong time of year though so dont really know, But i hope their isnt any fish kills in the dams from all this water, Remember what happened bout 6months ago at moogerah, Dont want that again..

yer around the middle brisy river it makes it alot harder to catch fish even cattys.

Hopefully the rain fills the dam and keeps the fishing good..

Maxi, in the western suburbs, I've had just over 6 inches (157mm) since thursday. 78mm of that was today since 6.30 am.

Not as much as Ballina sometimes gets over a 1 hour period.

She's been fairly solid rain all day today. Sunshine (haha) Coast had a foot over the past few days:ohmy:

Hope it falling where you all need it, as you do need it badly.. were just about to get flood warnings again....

the last thing we need is another major flood of the Richmond River..

Its just starting to recover from the last belting it got...

it would be disasterous for us to have another fish kill so soon after the last one..

im a bit worried to tell the truth...

Massive Fish Kills, 1000's of fish washed up on the edge of the lake.
