Im a very happy man today!!

Caught my first fish on a hardbody lure yesterday!!!

A big thanks to Jeryl who sold me the sx40 that did the deed.

No flicks unfortunatly...

was a 27cm cod. (first cod aswell)

caught with only about 2 meters of line out.

In Boggy Creek on the BP refinery side.

I think im fast becoming an addict!:P

I later got snagged and swam out to where i was stuck to get my precious lure back!

Got a couple of scores recently.

First up 18 Nilsmaster ice jigs from ebay for $40 delivered.

Second was I finally got in to Big W at

Stafford, and the last Cod pack was still there, so for 3 stump jumpers for $19 I snavelled that. (cost about $35-40 to buy the lures individually)

I was there the other day again, & was gonna grab that lot, but then I thought "nah I'll be nice, I told Feral about them, I'll leave them for him!"

If i wasn't so lazy I'd put in my latest purchases, but I really don't want to gather them all together, i think I will get a fright at how much I've actually bought in the last 6 or so weeks... Gotta love tax returns...B)

Today i bought an ecogear sx- 40 - red colour

River2Sea baby vibe 43mm - gold

rmg scorpion 52 - green

3 inch shaky shads (gulp)- pumpkinseed

3 inch shrimp (gulp- mottled

Atomic shads 3 inch - blue pearl

and a load of hooks and jigheads.

What could i expect with these lures? will a bream eat the lot?

The rmg will be for trolling, it has worked before even caught undersize bream when they're out. R2S will be for dropoffs and deeper holding fish and when the bream are right behind the boat in a school but down deep. jighead sizes are size 1 hooks with 1/20 i think down to 1/12 and also a few heavier ones for flathead with bigger hooks. Oh and what would anyone reccomend to throw at bridge pylons and channels??

thanks

Paul

I'm on the look out for some Stump Jumper 3.5's.

Have not found any one selling them yet, but as I might do some bream fishing in the classic (for shark bait) they are only 38mm long, and have replacable bibs, just the thing for chucking at hard structure (I hate breaking bibs when the cast is just that little bit strong!)

Ok, had an absolutely crap day at work today. So dropped in at the tackle shop at Bald Hills for a little retail therapy.

Picked myself up one of the fella's.

Made by the northside fishing club, and they reckon some of the loot goes towards dam stocking. Not the cheapest lure at $15, but certainly reasonable.

But it certainly is the ducks guts for your bass deep trollers in dams!

Hey I like that where did ya get it from and how much?

Jayson

jase they have all those pretty up grade bits for the diawas at charltons

they cost about the same as a cheap reel

Thanks mate I'll look into it, But I'm not going to spend a packet on pimping my fishing reel.

It would look sweet with my cork handle on my rod though;)
