Well with the father in-law down from Darwin he was pretty keen on nailing his first tailor so we headed out to Currumbin and started to soak some pilles at 6am but with no luck.

So we changed rigs to a smaller hook and weight and that is when the fun started B)

In between 7am and 10 we managed to land about 15 bream from 24 to 30cm a nice whiting at 30cm and a few silver trevally.

Feeling the hunger for a feed and a tailor we headed off to the seaway spit where we managed a few little wrasse and watched some big trevally swim around not interested in anything but I did Manage a New P.B Bream for me at 36cm on a flick bait :cheer:

After a few hours for nothing we headed to the top of the seaway wall to flick some slugs only for one hit and a short run only for me to pull the hooks :S

It was now 3pm so we trekked back to currumbin to try for a tailor and after a half hour I was on to some thing pulling drag but I had just fouled a 30 cm bream with the gangs on 4lb line

Then we watch the bloke next to us in an epic battle with a tailor of 65+cm for a good five minutes only to be bitten off within metres of the rocks :( and whilst this was happening the father in-law managed to jag a nice 44cm tailor which topped off a great day for us and accomplished the goal we set out for.
