rego question

do i need rego? I just got my rego for the punt I was thinking not worring about it cause I only use electrics on it or a 2hp motor or does it still need need to be registered cause its on a trailer:huh:

No you only need rego for the tralier if the boat has a motor bigger than 4hp you need rego. I am 90% sure this is right but you should just get it confirmed.

If you run under 4hp no rego req, but trailer must be registered

I'm seriously considering buying a 2nd hand 4hp for the bullet, rego for her next year will $130! ridiculous for a boat that only runs a 6hp and does 6 knots flat out!

In Queensland, all ships with a motor or auxiliary of more than 3 kW (over 4 hp) must be registered when on the water.
