Handheld GPS

I'm looking at getting a Garmin Etrex Legend with the SD card and maps. Has anyone had any experience with these or something similar?

Haven't got one of those Mal, but I do have a Garmin handheld and can't fault it. Has an SD card and I also bought the charts on CD which are great for planning a trip on the PC etc and transferring to the unit.

Only gripe I had was the product registration process and their help staff were either a sandwich short of a picnic or made a poor choice on their career in customer service:blink:

malcolm, i have the garmin 76 hand held and find it very easy to use, i also have the garmin 180 and 298 in my boat which are also very user friendly, and the menu's are nearly identical in all 3 of them
