Borroloola NT

This is not a bad trip,3160km. We went in May-June this year. Tides are funny, little movement from one tide to the next. 7.5 degees ground temp one morning. Went to a property called Manangoora,cost $150 per vehicle to go through their gate. Stay as long as you like and they will collect your rubbish if bagged and left in a conspicuous place. Huge cod caught by my mate 50lbs 1.1 metres long, one other busted 80lb line off.Heaps of queenies. Fingermark. Silver jew, javelin fish (grunter bream). Barra quiet only one just over 60cm - water too cold. Reef fish about 25km North around islands - nannygai,fingermark, others.River mouth tricky, follow poles. Crabs depend on how much the pro is hitting them. King Ash Bay worth a visit. Run by a fishing cooperative, just like a caravan park. Right on the river, but 32km from the Gulf.
