a good way is to use a 2 hook rig, hook the top one where anguses pic is there and have the second swinging free down near the head

ive found alot of fish attack the head/tentacles area first

of course this applies if you have a decent size squid, if you have small ones 1 hook shoudl do you fine

hahaha never mind the paint skills, I thought the awesome reminder that the tail is the opposite end to the head was worth it's weight!
