I did something similar over Moreton years ago. It was coming onto dark and by the time I noticed it was 100m off the beach. Luckily it was only a bit over waiste deep and got well and truly drenched in the middle of winter of coarse and dark enough not to be able to see any lurking munchies.

Your lucky there were no old salts there, an unmanned vessel is able to be claimed by anyone haha.. Have you seen the new four stroke honda that have a remote so you can drive them right back to the ramp.. although there are a few blokes I know who'd still be swimming after realising the remote was in the boats glove box.. (anyone ever actualy kept gloves in thier glove box?) :silly:

that is great! There was one time we put the boat in at Atkinsons dam and I waded the boat out to near neck deep water to get out of weed and the grandfather went to start the boat and realised the key was still int he cupboard at home!
