sorry beleive it or not they do actually come that small in awoonga i've caught one smack on 58 cm. The minium legal length for barra is 58 sm according to the dpi website. I was just trying to provide correct information so nobody gets a large fine for doing the wrong thing. 60cm in rivers in the gulf 58cm for the east coast.

yeah it def various from place to place. Barra are 55 in NT.

Yep, and a lot of the farmed ones are turned into fillets long before they reach legal size.

The other thing that catches people is the closed season, it changes from year to year, must be based on the lunar cycles or similar.
