did a rescue Monday, dropping a paddle to this guy .

Sommerset_Dam_09_rescue.jpg

the dam was like glass Sunday and Monday

Sommerset_Dam_09_kids_canoe.jpg

and the kids had a go of the canoe ,with less boats and people about .

Sommerset_Dam_09_canoe.jpg

me having a hoon about

Sommerset_Dam_09_sunset.jpg

and beautiful sunsets in the afternoon ,i didn't want to come home .

best day for hooning about was Saturday with the wind picking up ,but got no video or pic's.

Sunday and Monday morning/ lunch had a bit of chop .

but Saturday arvo was the best ,with white caps and about 1/2 meter i reckon.

the canoe end up 1/2 full of water just getting over to the pots.

on the bank empty the canoe out ,check the pots then a trip back.

had 3 of us in the canoe too, was the slowest trip for the 3 days.

just had to zig zag about and keep the canoe nose in .

gave side on going straight across a try ,but it even scared me as the canoe just rocked and rolled to much .saw the out rigger about a foot under water .

do tell what happend davo.

wasn't much .

he was testing a new out rigger idea .

forgot a paddle and then wondered if he had fuel as he couldn't get it started .

he did get it started after we got the paddle to him.

he end up flipping it near the shore ,good for a laugh .

all good no damage down or any 1 hurt ,just wet .:)
