bought a stradic, need some help

hey guys.

decided to splash my cash into a stradic 4000. bought it brand new from jones' tackle at lutwyche. was actually cheaper than motackle.. i was genuinely surprised.

it feels great and balances nicely with my rod. the bail arm seems fairly curious though. there's a point in the rotation whereby it won't completely click over. is this normal for a stradic?

I've never used a Stradic, but with most of my spinning reels it's the same.

But it would be in your best interest to wait to one of the guru's to awnser your question :laugh:

that doesnt seem right to me? i have a stradic FI smaller size though only 2500 and mine doesnt do that?

maybe bring it back when you get a chance so tehy can have a look at it

my 6000 baitrunner, 4000 twinpower and 2500 seido all do the same.

that would be the bail trip point, no spinning reel can open in that spot as far as i know.

open your bail arm and turn the handle of the reel the bail will flick over when the top of the rotor hits that spot, or something like that.

never pulled a stradic apart.

its happens on my 2500.. I'm just not sure if it always happens in the same spot though...

Not a problem, my stradics twinpowers and abu sorons do it too. As said by others it is to do with the bail trip and if your unlucky to get it at that exact point, it wont open
