What sort of line?

Hey what sort of line are you guys using on your 2500 size reels?

Braid, Spider or Mono?

What size 8-10lb?

I just used 14lb fireline and it is crap so i'm going to change it.

I have gone off the fireline a bit to mate, seems to fray pretty easily I am trying to get hold of that Finn's supposed to have like a gel coating or something.

I wouldn't use any more then 10lb spectra or Fireline on a 2500 reel. I would use upto 20lb pe braid though.

I have a TD Sol 2000 currently with 6lb Fireline for the bay and Bass. I am in desperate need of more line! .

I use a Daiwa Kastor 2500 with 8lb Fireline. I have no worries at all.

No one uses mono anymore?

The pe 20lb is interesting but why 20lb maybe 15lb.

Brian, I guess it depends on what you're using it for. On the 2000 and 2500 spinners we're using Daiwa 10lb mono for bait fishing in the dams and bay. Seems to be catching plenty.

Brian I use 6lb Diawa mono (0.20mm diameter)on mine for bass. Works a treat.

I have 6lb Flourocarbon (Berkley Vanish) on the 1000 series reel, but its thicker (0.22mm) and seems to have a lot of memory compared to the diawa.

I have some 6lb dyneema braid on order, I might try that on the 1000 series instead of the flourocarbon, not that fussed on it.
