Found myself heading to the Gold Coast yesterday for a meeting that finished at 3 before starting night shift at 5.30, I was thinking what a waste of time it will be to finish the meeting duck back home grab a bite then head back down the coast. Then that little voiced popped up. “You idiot put the rod in the car†so I did.

Headed back up the road to a spot I know at Coomera and armed with 1 rod and some plastics the session began. Flicked around for about 30min with nothing bitting. Then as the sun light started to fade the bites increased. A few small Bream were picked up a couple just on legal and two really good runs but no hook up.

Glad I pulled my finger out and threw the rod in as I got my first legal bream on a plastic.

This wasn’t him, I didn’t get a photo of the legal one but it happened. c’mon trust me;)

Yep, tried some other colours but nuke chicken always seems to work for me.
