Neighbour has just came back from camping for a week at Strady.

He camped at marker number7 and the bream were thick all day, every day, for the whole week.

All were over 30cm and several over 40.

Bait used was pipis.

One family camping there took a tuckerbox full of bream fillets back to Brisbane and came back for more.

We really need a bag limit and more enforcement. Brian said that three of them used to fish from daylight till 10 am and then two of them would spend the rest of the day cleaning and filletting whilst the third kept on fishing.

The tailer only came once they were sitting out past second break and they scored 30 between 3 of them before they left.

The mullet netters are poised ready for action but so far they havent arrived.

Dint know how long the bream will stay with big seas forecast.

Where is marker number 7? Are we talking north or south straddie? I am a regular at south straddie and have tried to get pippis on the surf side without ay luck, so I just assumed QLD dont have pippis as NSW we dig them hand over foot...so to speak!

Mate the Pipi's (i call them Eugaries) can be thick on Stradbroke on regular occasions. Not the north facing beaches though.

I usually use them to catch beach worms.
