Hi Guys and Girls - This is just a quick update for everybody. We are still going ahead with the social. At the very least we can catch up for a yarn at the pub. For those that want to brave the conditions they can put up their entries. It is important to stick with the dates and times for the socials. There have been some questions regarding the social I will endeavor to answer some of them. Please remember this is only a social and the Pot was only there to give the social some edge. Also if there is anybody that wants to turn up that is not interested in being a part of the Pot you are more than welcome.

Social Pot guidelines for Bream Social

1. This is a total length comp for a bag of 5 fish

2. only fish measuring 23cm to the fork are illegible

3. They must be measured to the fork on a device that allows mm to be seen

4. A hand signal will be given on the day and needs to be in the photo.

5. As this is a social the individual will total up the length and submit it to the organizers

6. The person with the longest bag will submit the camera or phone to the organizers for a check. (Remember this is a social)

7. There are no boundaries for this social apart from no land locked lakes or fishing farms. If someone wants to run all over the place in the allocated time period all good for them. Also please try and keep in the spirit of a social.

8. Bait and Lure are illegible for this social

9. time is from 5.30am to 12.00 (please be back by 12)

10. Official Ramp is the one on Thurecht parade, Scarborough. (Due to the ran will notify you of the way in area on the morning)

11. We will be at the ramp at 5.15am (anybody running late can call me on 0407 118 915)

12. Anybody wanting to be in the pot needs to meet use at the ramp to give us the money. If late give me a call to arrange it. I will leave the ramp at 6am.

At this stage due to the rain the BBQ sangers will not be on. We sill probably try and find an area close by (maybe the pub) to way in unless the weather improves greatly.

Also you get a point for just turning up towards the end of year Trophy for the socials.

I hope this clears up some questions.

A point will be given to each person that turns up to a social. The first 4 places will also be given points towards the Trophy. The place getters in each social will also get points as specified below

1st - 5 points

2nd - 3 points

3rd - 2 points

4th - 1 point

hey guys - I have been for a run out to Scarborough today. We can if the weather is good have our way in at the park at the ramp otherwise we can run done the road to the other ramp and park our boats in the boat car park and go to the moreton Bay Boat Club. I spoke to them and they are happy for us to go there as long as we have footwear. I checked the prices and they do not seem to bad. The boats woll be secure in the park and we can take turns on checking the boats. Just need to sign in at the door.

Sorry all, backing out of this one now. I can't get my boat in or out of my shed in this weather (have to back it up a grassy slope with a 2 wheel drive car - project for winter is to get some road base down). Not too keen on getting drenched and blown around either :blush: . For my wimpiness I will buy some more tickets in Lance's raffle. Good luck to the hardy souls who make it out. I will try to get to other socials.

My name is Deejay Borg im from Diztek which is run along with my father Darren "dizzy" Borg,

just putting a quick note up saying that i will be at the comp in the morning with some of our new products.

I will have a small assortment of lures that can be purchased from myself.

I have two Order to bring up with me in the morning one of which is for Angus, whom im hoping i will get to know a lot better over the next few days/weeks.

All lures at $14.95, if you have a certain colour that you want send me an email tonight, and i will make sure i have them for you, we do have our current special of buy 5 get one free. which is $74.75

Please keep in mind as this was a last minute organized thing for me to come over in the morning if you are after some lures it would be a GREAT help if you had the right change =]

If you just want to have a look, i'll be there at approx 5am, Im fair;y easy to find, young girl pink and black hair! i'll be meeting up with Angus at approx 5.10am so that would be the best place to find me!

Looking forward to meeting a few of you guys tomorrow and working with Angus and this Website in the neart future.

Thanks for making the effort Deejay to get my lures to me!

Back story guys...

I ordered some lures yesterday and exclaimed in my order I was dissapointed I would not have them for the Sunday social.

This resulted in return correspondence from Deejay offering to drop the lures to me at the comp! Discussions with both Deejay and Darren since lead me to believe Diztek will soon be a proud sponsor of the AFO site.

Its funny how things work out some times!

Trailer boat club is a great place

Agreed this sounds good. But will it eliminate some drowned rats from socialising after a tough fish? :P

Only reason I suggested fish and chips is its easy, close and we can be as dishevled as they come :P

I think il give the fishing a miss, won't be much chop in these conditions. Il be at the boat ramp from about 11:30 onwards... Just to see all the boats come in, seewhat was caught etc. Then go to lunch. Who can give me a lift from the ramp to lunch haha? My girlfriend is dropping me at the ramp and pickin me up after lunch so I can have a drink haha

If you don't feel up to fishing ifs ok you soft QLD'ers can stay in the club house.. The more of you in there the more chance I got of winning with one legal fish!!!
