It was so peaceful and quite out at NPD yesterday you could hear a pin drop. I was the only one on the water, sad to think this could all come to an end soon when the new rec policy comes out. I can not work out why people would quibble about spending a few bucks to get such nice tranquility.Every so often the rod would buckle over the side and frighten the life out of you and leave you saying what was that.

Anyway the bass were fired up again and I managed a few on lures and quite a few on shrimp. Most of the bass were of good size and very healthy, I found a couple of new spots on the way down the dam that proved fruitful. Lures to 3m are still working well.

Just cant bring myself to go slow enough to troll.

I usualy troll from spot to spot, I loose interest very quickly also if there is little action and the other reason is to save battery power, it may be slower but you get to go further. I have no problems trolling on a kayak as you are busy paddling or peddling.
