My native + Peacock bass tank

Hi all, a discussion with people around the fire at winter camp motivated me to post my aquarium photos.

Also have a cichlid breeding setup but these are a couple of my display tanks.

Bloody awesome mate. Defiantely a dream of mine, but not something im willing to commit to at this stage, having to look after them etc, no long holidays etc etc etc.

Yeah it is awesome to watch. The tv has been removed as I no longer need it. Every day that goes by I learn something about my fish. It can be annoying as you say with going away but I have a network of friends who I have trained to look after them haha.

VERY cool mate, love the Peacocks.... wish they were in dams / rivers (purely form a fishing point of view)..

Nice tank, Lei and Monos wont play nice with the other fish though.

They have lived together for the past 6 months with no issues. The eel-tailed catfish is not one to be messed with in this tank and the plecos rarely cop any harassment. The Aussie bass pretty much rules the tank at the moment and the sleepy cod minds his own business.

is it just me or are those peacock bass disproportionately sized with massive heads? Makes sense they are aggressive feeders with heads and mouths that big.

I just took some pics of Jacques the other day in his new tank. I'll put up some pics of mine soon.

Haha yeh they look like that as juvies but are slowly growing into there heads ahha. Like a puppy and its paws!
