Thought I would say hello to fello fishers. I do a fair bit of running about the bay chasin the trophy but as with any fishing it is the luck of the draw. Rarely keep any fish, unless they are of exceptional size or my father in law is along for the trip.

I head out most week ends and run in a 5.8M Mustang Mariner. She is an oldy but solid as a rock. Always keen to team up and head outside, usually about cape morton but happy to sit and bottom bash the artificials in the bay from victoria point north.

Had a fair trip last sunday and sat about Harry Atkinson Reef for about five hours, landing mostly undersize squire, a few fingerprints and a bunch of oddments. Got smashed a few times. All in all about 80 fish landed and released and a sore guts and arm from the work out. A good day until about 1300 when the bay chopped up and the tidal swell got a little loose...

lol Joel, well I hope I can deliver my first official one this week end and it meets the standards of the great stuff I have read here so far. Trip is only half planed, being that we have said we are going lol. I have about 40 gps markers for the bay, just have to decide which 3 we will look at... mmmm

Always does mate. It will be one of the two days weather permitting. Will let yas know which it is closer to the mark. I really would not mind doing a night run on the atkinson reef on a high tide turn. I think the bigger tides we are having will produce some bigger snapper..
