queensland Freshwater Bow Fishing

So one of the topics that people were chatting about at the pest fishing cup a few weeks ago was freshwater bow fishing.

Many said they often see carp and tillies that wont take a hook. They said they would be easy pickings with a bow.

I know they are illegal in QLD and for good reasons I'm sure.

Do you think this law should be changed to allow pest species to be bow hunted?

No. They'd also be easy to shoot with a hand gun, but we don't wanna go there. I think the same applies to a bow and arrow. It would just be a matter of time before some kids did the wrong thing. IMO

Yep I see the point, just after some opinions. I don't have a strong opinion on it myself but can see some pro's and con's.

It is done a lot overseas. Bow hunting is legal in Aust with no licence required but you just cant point it at a fresh water fish.
