Stradic or Vanford

I'm looking for a small fun combo. I am thinking either a stradic 1000 or 2500 or a vanford 1000 or 2000. What do you guys recommend.

I have a Stradic FL 3000 and love it.
I would probably base size of reel of the size of the fish you’re targeting. I think the Stradic is worth the money but don’t have experience with the Vanford.

I have a Vanford 5000 purchased mainly due to its fantastic light weight.  Love it.  Would love a smaller one when budget allows.  Can't comment on the Stradic.

I have about 10 stradics, each new model is better than the previous.

That being said I still fish hard and regularly with the old white models that just do not die.

FWIW one setup is a white stradic 1000 on a broken 2-4kg rod that boated a 1m threadfin salmon last year using a small soft vibe. 16lb braid loaded onto the reel and the drag cranked up pretty heavy.

Fish them hard as you like, they can take it.

I can't say I would treat the Vanfords with such a harsh life.

I like the stradic a lot, but I went with the Vanguard mostly because of their weight and casting ability. 

The little 1000 is one of the smoothest reels I've ever used, it's practically identical in feel to my 1000 stella. They are an absolutely amazing finesse and casting reel and have caught me some impressive fish. 

The 2500 and 5000 I have as well and they been great reels too, I mostly use the 2500 as my main fishing reel and it's never let me down and it casts unbelievable distances for a reel in that price range.

the stradic is definitely my first choice would be going for the 2500 though
