freshwater fishing around Roma, QLD

Im staying in Roma, QLD and looking to go fishing nearby for cod and perch any suggestions for the area?

I don't think we have any current members around that area, unfortunately. But you never know, someone current may have fished the area.

Almost any creeks out there will hold perch....ask at the servo or the gun shop where the locals are going lately. It changes lots with water levels and flows.

I used to hunt up that way a lot. Anytime we were driving there we often stopped at river crossings and bridges for a flick. 

Pulled out a few nice ones over the years. A number of farms stock yellow belly in their dams. When there's floods the fish move from the dams into the rivers so there is always be fish in the rivers.
