resolved Working on Forum

We have been doing some work on the forum this afternoon and we are sorry for the downtime.

If you find some problems with the forum, please post below so we can resolve them.

Looks like Karma point tally is not showing next to user on posts?

Also, it seems that the Subscribe box option is ticked automatically when making a post.

The pixel limit on the photos is 499x499. Instead of 500x500.

It is still at 100kb tho.

When you go into one of the "This Month's Top Threads" the left-hand side toolbar is missing.

- Pixel limits are changed now to 500px x 500px

- Subscription checkbox not ticked by default

- karma at this stage is disabled

One other thing, you can't change the size of the text anymore.

a quick reply box is showing under every persons reply in a thread, its really annoying taking up loads of room, is this just me??

Still looking into the Quick Reply showing on each post. Is this still happening to people? if it is, can you please reply with what browser you are using, when and where it occurs etc as it is not happening to me and im trying to replicate it so i can fix it. cheers

Hey webbie,

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11. Been having that same problem since this morn. However, clearing the cache seems to have fixed the problem. So yeah, in case any of u guys are having this problem still, trying clearing the cache (or in firefox it's called "private data") and see if it helps.

mmm using IE6 here and I'm still getting the reply box under every post. I haven't cleared the cache but this is the first time I've had AFO up for a while so I doubt it will matter! That said I'll go clear it and see what happens...

EDIT: yeah just cleared all the cache and the problem still exists. I'll try it on IE7 when I get home.:dry:

It has sort of been an ongoing problem. When ever I try to abbreviate something like Creek or Saint, it puts this symbol up *

This is what I mean.

Creek = Ck (supposed to be C+k, take away the + sign)

Saint = St (supposed to be S+t, take away the + sign)

Certainly did mate. Note that I am using IE6 on my work PC (typical). On IE7 at home it works fine.

More info on "Quick Reply" problem.

The machine it doesn't work on runs Windows 2000 and IE6 (groan).

The machine it works great guns on is Vista and IE7.

Got another wierd one for you John, when you use the "mark all messages read" button on the forum home page, it marks all the messages read, but then all the "latest forum posts" in the column on the right is now identified as "unread"

I've noticed that when you quote someone, the smilies that they used don't come up as the image, they come up as the text version.

this morning when I quote a thread the title disappears and you have to edit it back in (on Pinkey's "USO" fish from the tweed)

seems ok on other ones
