As I’m sure most people are, I’m getting tired of this issue, and the lack of power to do anything about. I’ll say again, I believe there are better ways to preserving fish stocks, a few of which include;

• Tighter bag limits

• Seasonal fishing

• Better thought out size limits (with regard to breeding age etc.)

• A greater emphasis placed on sustainability from commercial rather than recreational fishing.

Not just a blanket ban on fishing in chunks of the bay.

Also, with regard to the river going green. Concentrate on cleaning the river by stopping commercial outflow, and also look at mangrove conservation as an important part of fish breeding a development. I don’t know what it is, but there has to be a better way.
