Thanks for a great day on the water mate.

Can't wait to get back out there again.

Especially now that i know the area just that little bit better.

I'm at work right now but i'll be sure to add some pics tonight.

By the way, if i knew what the whiptail were it woulda be great.

Can't go wrong wrong with a bunch of live mullet that are totally crappin' there dacks but!

Story is.....

The cod and spotty (75cm) were both caught on live mullet, paternoster style.

The cuda was feeding off my burley trail around the stern.

I thought it was a shark for a while then it occurred to me.....

My mate you see there, was actually out to test run my Saltist combo as he was considering buying it off me.

What an opportunity!

So, i rigged him up with half a pilly on top of the squid he already had on his hook.

Took the sinker off and got him to drift it just behind the outboard on top of the water.

Left the reel in free spool and the ratchet on (thinking it was a shark remember) and when i saw him take it i was expecting a slow momevent while he swallowed it.

Suddenly bzzzt the bugger tore off so much line before we could set the hook.

Anyway, after walking him around the boat once we got him in.

After that, a successful catch and release!

did I see you guys fishing near one of the 4 beacons?

I don't know which beacons you mean.

We fished Curtain and then started heading around to Flinders.

About 10min on the plotter away from Flinders we renegotiated our fuel and decided to head back, fishing the shallows on the way.

Then we headed back home.

For sure mate.

Heaps more fuel and plenty of trolling around those shallows i reckon.

By the way, Logan Anaconda Dynatec hooks 50% off remaining sellout stock....NOW!

Only a half basket left (after staff got to 'em).

Come in mate there's plenty of tiny sizes there.

hey Nasty!

i need some no:4, 6, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 5/0, 8/0. thanks man!

can i grab them at the bbq on fri or should i come in to the store?

cheers Ian.

Will suicides do?

I have got some of the sizes in octopus.

They are boxes of 50 hooks each.

In those specific sizes you stated, i only have 4, 6, 2/0, 5/0, 8/0.

I have some other sizes smaller, larger and in between those that you asked for.

If you buy all suicides, one of each of the sizes above it will cost you $22.50.

Normally $44.95.

I can buy them and you can fix me up on Friday
