Me and My mate Karl headed over to Pine River for a session, We hit the ramp at 6am fished till 9:30am. Both on Kayaks for a stealth assualt armed with plastics. What a session Karl managed to get some bream, some flathead, flounder, I managed to just get a work out. Some decent fish to be caught in the Pine. Just a Flattie and the Flounder were kept.

not all bad at least it was time spent on the water n some fish were caught.mate the pines definatley worth a look,especially the upper reaches lotsa snags,jack n cod country

Was there much boat traffic there yesterday? Tends to get a bit busy on the weekends and holidays, but apart from that I reckon it's a great little spot for a quiet fish.

I too have heard the upper reaches are crawling with Jacks & Bream.

Poor Dimi, dunno what you were doing wrong mate, but first time in the kayak is bound to be a challenge, bit different to sitting in a boat or standing on the bank hey?
