Calling all tackle nerds!

Hey guys and gals,

gettin a Td advantage rod on friday and need to get a reel for her, its a 7ft spin 8-14lb any hows wanna no what size reel i should bang on her, i was thinking either 2500 or 3000 but leaning to the 2500 do you reckon this is to small?

i reckon the 2500 would be pretty good. Maybe a 3000 but it all depends on what your gonna target.

Andrew and I have the same rod as well he has 3000 kix and I have 3000 sol great for snapper and the likes and andrew found his good for hopping masks for bass the other day

Depending on your other reels. Either a 2500 or a 3000 size would be great. I would choose depending on what other equipment you have.

Mate I reckon a 2500 Sol would be ideal, has the same amount of drag as the 3000, as long as you dont need the little bit of extra line capacity id go the 2500

I've got a 3000 matching reel with my 10-17 Advantage and it feels perfect. Also have used my 2500TP and it balances ok but 3000 felt better.

i rekon 3000 cause bit more line and as its a bit heavier it would suit a bigger rod better

but depends what u wana use it for?

I have an older twinpower that has 2 spools with it a 2500 and a 3000.

Dunno if they are still available but it may be worth checking. That way you have the best of both wirlds.

as stu said the 3000 size are great for that rod kix is a good cheaper alternateive to the sol if you dont have the money about 50 - 60 bucks cheaper but if you have the money go the sol or the a Td advantage reel

cheers guys, well i have a 2500 size reel already so i will probly go the 3000 kix, also i want to use it for snapper and bass like andrew as well so im glad to hear you and stu rate them in that area
