This Friday

Rumrunner and I are heading out this Friday if anyone would like to tag along.

We will be meeting at the boat ramp around 4am.

My season has been shaping up pretty good around the northern end of Morton Is.

From experience, can anyone tell me if it is really worth our while going to Deep Tempest instead.

Will the fishing be THAT much better?

My questioning, is due to having to take an extra 5 x 20L jerrys.

You have to take an extra 5x20L of petrol? Are you heading to NZ or driving a destroyer?

Including the 100l under the floor, that makes 200l.

Not saying 'you' are mate, but the cheap and lazy fisherman gets '0'.

The fisherman that puts in the $ and effort gets the fish.

When i go out, i like to have the option of moving around to find the fish even if i have to travel a long way.

It beats sitting around like most of the fools that i keep seeing at Curtain Artificial that are too lazy to fuel up and hunt around , and too cheap to burley hard with decent burley.

I'm not going to NZ....

I'm catching not fishing

Sorry boys,

Sounds like today was the day to be out there.

We tried everything we could but just couldn't find the fish or bring them to the boat.

Weather conditions were great till we tried to go outside the Island.

Even gentle northerlies really roll up some big chop out there so i couldn't get to any of my other spots.

We were limited to Curtain and chasing around schools of tuna, which proved to be pointless.

We Even tried throwing slimies down in a thick and long burley trail without any luck.

Catch of the day......

a big bird that got tangled up in my braid.

We had to drag it to the side of the boat and untangle the idiot thing.

Got some cool pics of it.

I will most likely cut it into steaks and stew it.

I think it will be way too hard to fillet.

I've heard some great reports from today though.

Looks like we were a day too early.

Diving next weekend.

Fishing again the weekend after.
