Bay Tailor 24/5/08 night

went out in the bay with my mate Bob(alias plover) to chase some tailor near green Island. Bay was a bit choppy going out, it was a bit slow as it is a bit early for this spot. We caught 9 at over 40 cm i got 3 and polver got 6, and lost that amount at the boat. Maybe another few weeks before this spot fires.

Great taylor there guys .. bet they would have been fun to catch ... Where you using light gear???

Good Numbers their, Were they on lures or bait? Also what ramp did u launch from?

They are some nice solid bay fish and in top conditon. I was tempted to go out last night as well but there are a few good days looking likely this week albeit with late nights.

Yep Monday - Thursday are looking 5-10knot days with 10-15knot arvo/nights.

thanks for the replies,

we launched from manly boat ramp, I used 10lb line with 3 ganged pillie suspended 1 metre under a float. Once it starts firing easily get over 30 fish each, not all kept of course, then I use 6lb line with sp minnows and shallow divers and poppers
