Wind was easing off and I had some time on my hands so down the river I go. Wasn't able to get a deckie at short notice, so solo mission. Managed half a doz good size mullet and set a couple of lines. Had a good run around sunset and hooked it. Nice little jewie taken on 6 kg line. Good eating size. Couple more runs later on 3 kg line but busted off around structure both times. Very pleasant arvo.

I am on the lookout for more deckies. Mostly fish Saturdays. Must be keen, share costs, and have own gear. If you are interested send me a PM with some info about you and ur number.

Already had one fish so the bust offs didn't bother me too much. Was good to get some more runs, but can't expect too much fishing 3 kg near structure.

6-8" are a good size. They take 2x 6/0 hooks OK and swim well. Bigger mullet are OK for targetting big fish.
