After a late start arrived at the dam at around 9am and started casting jackalls around in the sheltered bays,

had caught nothing by 12 so decided for a quick move to the timber, after prospecting in the timber for 1 hit and no fish decided on a last ditch effort on one of the wind swept banks

ended up with 10 and a mate got 3 between 1.30 and 2.30, all mine were caught on a brown dog jackall slow rolled through the weed, not sure what my mate caught his on, best went 35 [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/IMG_0015_AFO.jpg

Good work on finding the bass mate. Sounds like you definitely had to work for them! Must try & get back out to Maroon myself one day.

Well done. We arrrr fsckinq tried all bloody day the day before for donut, (arrrrr drat splat and spew) now I feel like a absolute wally that should take up lawn bowles :blush: But at least you prooved there's fish in there. Thanks - sort of!:laugh:

Where you fishing next week, I need someone to follow around.

i wouldnt be to disheartened Brian, it took us all morning to find the fish and once we did we pretty much had to leave anyway
